What Feeding the 5000 was Meant To Mean?

Jesus reveals himself to be Israel’s good shepherd who cares for his sheep, a new and greater Moses who feeds God’s people in the wilderness, and the end-time Messianic King hosting the messianic banquet. Since God alone causes the earth to produce food, Jesus also reveals his divine authority over the forces of nature. The multitude ate and were satisfied. Unfortunately, they did not get what it all means.
