Misguided Zeal for God

Every religious people has a zeal for God. However, false religions and false doctrines are significant causes of wrong passion. Misguided ideas about God and how to please Him have plagued humanity from the beginning, leading to a zeal for doing hateful evil to the true God. Even those who believe in the Bible can be misled. The apostle Paul was intimately acquainted with zeal gone wrong in his own life, and he deeply regretted it.
