Theology of Angels

Following the powerful assertions of Christ’s divine identity and work in the prologue, Hebrews launches immediately into its first topic: Christ is superior to the angels. The author of Hebrews elaborates on this with a string of Old Testament quotations. It is probably not an issue to us in what ranks the angels are compared to Christ, but in the first-century Jews it is.
